Taegeuksam is made from fresh ginseng soaked in hot water for a certain period of time or heat-processed with steam to cook some parts of body from the surface and to dry.
It is an intermediate form between red ginseng and white ginseng. It is an erect type. The color of the surface is silver-yellow brown, and the cutting plane is light brown, which is similar to that of red ginseng.
